Christopher J. Young

Christopher J. Young is General Counsel-North America and Chief Compliance Officer for Omni Bridgeway and is based in the company’s New York office.

He works with the company’s US team and the company's wider global legal team, advising the company on various US corporate legal issues.  Chris also handles all compliance and regulatory matters for Omni Bridgeway Management (USA) LLC, an investment adviser registered with the SEC.

Chris is a seasoned corporate and commercial lawyer with experience drafting and negotiating distressed loan and bankruptcy claim trades, syndicated and leveraged credit facilities, and corporate restructurings. He also has experience handling in-house employment matters, vendor contracts, compliance and regulatory matters, and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Omni Bridgeway, he served for five years as Vice President and Counsel with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, where he advised RBS’ US Financing & Risk Solutions and UK Commercial & Private Banking franchises, while covering general corporate matters in the US. He began his legal career as an associate at Andrews Kurth LLP and Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP in New York.

Chris has an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law, and a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in American Studies.
