Biography
Tania Sulan has nearly a decade of experience in third party litigation funding and 11 years of experience as a commercial litigator in both Sydney and London, U.K. As the Chief Investment Officer of Bentham IMF's Canadian operations, she is at the forefront of introducing funding to the Canadian market after having successfully led Bentham's expansion into Adelaide, Australia in 2009.
Since joining Bentham in 2007, Tania has provided funding for a broad range of commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, intellectual property, breach of duty, insolvency and arbitration, among others. She has assisted companies and law firms to achieve their growth strategies with creative financing solutions such as litigation portfolios or operational cost financing.
Tania enjoys conducting due diligence to identify viable investment opportunities for Bentham and working collaboratively with claimants and lawyers to bring cases to a successful conclusion. At any one time, she is typically functioning as a strategic advisor on numerous cases and monitoring a multi-million dollar investment portfolio on behalf of the company.
Tania has a degree in arts and an honours degree in law from the Australian National University. After graduating, she clerked for a New South Wales Court of Appeal Judge.
