UGL Limited Class Action Open Class Action Registration

A class action was commenced in the Federal Court of Australia by Clime Capital Limited (ACN 106 282 777) against UGL Pty Limited (UGL) (Federal Court proceeding number VID1390/2017), funded by IMF Bentham Limited (IMF).
The claim alleges that between 16 April 2014 and 5 November 2014 UGL breached its obligations of continuous disclosure, in contravention of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), by failing to disclose that UGL’s 'Ichthys power project' was running behind schedule and was subject to increased project costs.
Are you a Group Member?
You are a group member if you meet the following criteria:
- You acquired shares in UGL during the claim period from 16 April 2014 to 5 November 2014 inclusive;
- you are not a director or officer, a close associate, a related party, a related body corporate, or an associated entity of UGL (as defined by the Corporations Act) or a Justice, Registrar, District Registrar or Deputy District Registrar of the High Court of Australia or the Federal Court of Australia; and
- you have suffered loss and damage by reason of the conduct alleged against UGL in the Statement of Claim.

If you want to register to receive compensation
Any person who wishes to share in any monetary compensation in the UGL Class Action is required to register their status as a Registered Group Member by completing and submitting the Group Member Registration Form to IMF by no later than 4pm (AEDT) on 30 November 2018. Are you already a Registered Group Member?
If you have already signed and returned a Funding Agreement with IMF and/or retained Phi Finney McDonald to act for you in the UGL Limited Class Action, you are a Registered Group Member and do not need to register again.
