Noah Wortman joins IMF Bentham's global team

SYDNEY, 10 July 2018: IMF Bentham Limited (ASX:IMF) is delighted to announce that on Monday, 2 July 2018, Mr Noah Wortman joined our expanding global team as Business Development Manager - Global Investor Recoveries.

Noah will be working closely with our international network of institutional investors (including financial institutions, superannuation and pension funds) who are often significant claimants in the cases IMF Bentham funds outside the United States. Noah will be based in Philadelphia, PA, with a global remit covering investors located in the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia, and North America.

IMF Bentham is one of the world’s premier commercial dispute financiers and I am excited to join this talented team working alongside institutional investors,” said Mr Wortman.

Noah was formerly Managing Director, Americas and Global Head of Class Action Services for London-based Goal Group.  In that role he was responsible for developing Goal Group’s worldwide initiatives in securities and antitrust class action litigation, with a particular emphasis on managing relationships with institutional investors who he helped connect to law firms and funders to pursue investment recovery actions in Europe, US, Japan and Australia.  Prior to joining Goal Group, Noah conducted a similar role for Stewarts Law in the UK and has experience of the developing market for multiparty securities matters in Europe.

Andrew Saker, IMF’s Chief Executive Officer, said “Hiring Noah is another important step in our diversification strategy.  Institutional investors have always been critical to IMF’s business and we want to prioritise those relationships in what is an increasingly competitive market.”

Oliver Gayner, Investment Manager at IMF, said “Noah’s arrival will really help drive our return to the European market.  He joins UK based Investment Manager Alistair Croft at a time when the market for investor recovery matters is growing significantly, both in London and continental Europe.”
